In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Captain R Tamil Selvan of BJP won in this constituency beating Ganesh Kumar Yadav of INC by a margin of 13,921 votes which was 10.72% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Captain R Tamil Selvan, of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Satamkar Mangesh Shridhar of SS by a margin of 3,738 votes which was 2.79% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Shetty Jagannath Achanna of INC won this seat defeating Dr Manisha Kayande of BJP by a margin of 18,023 votes which was 15.45% of the total votes polled for the seat.
