In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Kiran Devi of RJD won in this constituency beating Vijayendra Yadav of JDU by a margin of 50607 votes which was 32.76% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Arun Kumar of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Sanjay Singh (Tiger) of BJP by a margin of 25427 votes which was 17.04% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Sanjay Singh (Tiger) of BJP won this seat defeating Arun Kumar of IND by a margin of 6822 votes which was 6.04% of the total votes polled for the seat.
