In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Bina Singh of RJD won in this constituency beating Umesh Singh Kushwaha of JDU by a margin of 7947 votes which was 4.81% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Umesh Singh Kushwaha of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Dr Achuta Nand of BJP by a margin of 26455 votes which was 17.85% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Dr Achyuatanand of BJP won this seat defeating Rama Kishor Singh of LJP by a margin of 2489 votes which was 2.09% of the total votes polled for the seat.
