In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Sanjay Kumar Gupta of RJD won in this constituency beating Sunita Singh Chauhan of JDU by a margin of 13931 votes which was 9.98% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Sunita Singh Chauhan of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Md Nasir Ahamad of LJP by a margin of 5575 votes which was 4.55% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Sunita Singh of JDU won this seat defeating Sanjay Kumar Gupta of RJD by a margin of 19580 votes which was 19.92% of the total votes polled for the seat.
