In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Arun Kumar Singh of BJP won in this constituency beating Nand Kumar Rai of RJD by a margin of 43654 votes which was 24.71% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Nand Kumar Rai of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Arun Kumar Singh of BJP by a margin of 4909 votes which was 3.15% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Brij Kishor Singh of RJD won this seat defeating Nand Kumar Rai of JDU by a margin of 14317 votes which was 12.71% of the total votes polled for the seat.
