In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Bachcha Pandey of RJD won in this constituency beating Shyambahadur Singh of JDU by a margin of 3559 votes which was 2.06% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Shyam Bahadur Singh of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Bachha Panday of LJP by a margin of 14583 votes which was 9.38% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Shyam Bahadur Singh of JDU won this seat defeating Mahamad Mobin of RJD by a margin of 25121 votes which was 21.82% of the total votes polled for the seat.
