Demographic profile

There were a total of 3,04,064 registered voters on the electoral rolls for the 2024 Assembly election in Muktainagar Assembly constituency, of which 1,55,378 were male, 1,48,678 female and 8 of the third gender. In the 2019 Assembly elections, there were a total of 2,90,175 registered voters, of which 1,49,876 were male, 1,40,298 female and 1 from the third gender. In 2014 elections, there were a total of 2,66,973 registered voters in this constituency, of which 1,40,228 were male and 1,26,745 female. In the 2009 polls, the number of total electors was 2,33,797 which included 1,21,834 male and 1,11,963 female voters.

Assembly constituency no.20. Muktainagar comprises of the following areas of Jalgaon district in the North region of Maharashtra: Raver Tehsil (Part), Revenue Circle –Khiradi, Savda and Savda (MC), Muktainagar Tehsil and 3. Bodwad Tehsil.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 1213.61 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Sabalagadh is: 21°00'47.2"N 76°02'57.5"E.

A total of seven Assembly constituencies in the state of Maharashtra share borders with Muktainagar constituency, which are: Bhusawal, Raver, Jalgaon Jamod, Malkapur, Buldhana, Jamner. This constituency shares an inter-state border with Burhanpur district of Madhya Pradesh.

Voter turnout

According to data released by the Election Commission of India, in the 2024 Maharashtra Assembly elections, the estimated voter turnout in this Maharashtra constituency was 70.24%. In 2019, this seat registered a turnout of 61.75%, while it was 68.83% in 2014 and 72.07% in 2009. The estimated turnout in 2024 was -8.49% compared to the 2019 turnout.

In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Chandrakant Nimba Patil of IND won in this constituency beating Khadse Rohini Eknathrao of BJP by a margin of 2,331 votes which was 01.19% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Khadse Eknathrao Ganpatrao of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Patil Chandrakant Nimba of SS by a margin of 9,708 votes which was 5.28% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Eknathrao Ganpatrao Khadse of BJP won this seat defeating Ad Ravindra Pralhadrav Patil of NCP by a margin of 18,389 votes which was 10.91% of the total votes polled for the seat.
