In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Dr. Ramanand Yadav of RJD won in this constituency beating Satyendra Kumar Singh of BJP by a margin of 19370 votes which was 11.49% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Dr Rama Nand Yadav of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Satyendra Kumar Singh of LJP by a margin of 30402 votes which was 19.89% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Dr Ramanand Yadav of RJD won this seat defeating Ajay Kumar Singh of JDU by a margin of 9656 votes which was 8.64% of the total votes polled for the seat.
