In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Srikant Yadav of RJD won in this constituency beating Sita Devi of JDU by a margin of 13927 votes which was 9.06% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Manoranjan Singh of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Kameshwar Kumar Singh of BJP by a margin of 8126 votes which was 5.8% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Manoranjan Singh of JDU won this seat defeating Kameshwar Kr. Singh of RJD by a margin of 29201 votes which was 28.36% of the total votes polled for the seat.
